Sorry to trouble you I am returning to assessing after a year away. I wanted to ask for some clarity as to the differences between the certificate, the nvq and the diploma.

Hi,

for the V1 you will need to be in a position where you have to internal verify the assessors work, also you will need to deal with the external verifier, doing standardisation meetings etc.Are you doing this in your current position?

Having had my a1 assessor award for over a year it has been 10 months since I did any nvq assessing as my job role changed. Could I still do the v1 award.

I still have current professional experience in my assessing topic just was more managerial than assessing.

Hi all,

I don't know if anyone still uses this forum.

I'm a qualified and experienced assessor and IV working with apprentices in business and administration, customer service and management.

I'd like to move into assessing child care and was wondering what experience and qualifications I would need to do this.

Any guidance will be much appreciated.

Hiya
 
Just wanted to see if anybody has had a similar experience to me.
Finally completed my NVQ 3 last September,but was waiting to get my files back from the IV.For various reasons it took 9 months for my missing files to be found at the IV's house.
Once i got them back i looked through them and found the following missing:-
Portfolio Reviews
Direct Observations
Unit Summary Sheets
 
When i questioned this with my assessor i got a vague response about them having to be retained for audit.I was never told about this before.
 
Also on closer inspection with my files i have found my IV has not signed any of the forms she should have.Also my assessor has not completed some paperwork.
 
Although i now have my certificate i am abit worried that is has been issued incorrectly.
 
Any thoughts or comments much appreciated.
